Type of fiscalization: hardware/software

The hardware-software fiscalization model was introduced in the HoReCa industry in Belgium, starting its application in July 2016. Although there are no specific legal requirements for the retail sector, there are specific requirements in the HORECA sector if the annual turnover exceeds 25.000 EUR.

Currently, the types of fiscal devices in use include the cash register or a POS system with a special control module (made up of a Fiscal Data Module and a VAT Signing Card).
